Tuesday, April 14, 7-9pm

The Shalom Center will hold an online Seder to address our crisis, facing the Eleventh Plague — the Coronavirus Plague — as well as other plagues of wounded Earth and Humankind. See www.shalomcenter.org for more information.

Wednesday, April 22, 12noon – #SoundTheCall 50th Earth Day

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day we invite you to come together, online. If you have a shofar or other instrument we ask you to join us to #soundthecall worldwide at 12pm EDT.

Blowing the shofar – and Earth Day, and Lag b’Omer – will be steps towards the new world, after the plague. We will be moving towards a new brit hazon, a new covenant of vision.

A new commitment to change our behaviors, to live more sustainably and more equitably.

A new commitment to change our institutions, so that in every school, in every synagogue – in every church, every mosque, every gurdwara – in every summer camp, in every place of work, we make a commitment to living more sustainably on this planet central to what we do, not incidental to it.
