Chesed Team (Caring Community)

The Chesed Team serves the needs of our temple family. We call home-bound members regularly to stay in contact. We arrange rides to services for those who need it.

And every few months, a group comes together in our Temple kitchen to make a large pot of soup, which we freeze in small batches.  The frozen soups are available to any of our members who wish to make a caring visit - and bring a quart of frozen, homemade soup - to any of our members in need.

Other Community Service

We collect items for the food pantry run by the Jewish Community Federation. Please leave your donations in the basket in our entry hall.

Tuesday, January 24  at 7 pm (repeat)
Please join us for the third in a series of Conversations on Race at Temple Emanu-El. These conversations will give us an opportunity to explore our unique experience as American Jews in relationship to race. Rabbi Setel is facilitating the workshops with Jon Greenbaum, the Lead Organizer for the Rochester Alliance of Communities Transforming Society (ROCActs).
