Saturday, September 16, 7:00 pm – Erev Selichot Service. We will start with a special Havdalah, ending Shabbat and entering the High Holidays season proper. After discussing readings from the new Reform prayerbook for Selichot, we will conclude with a short ceremony honoring the Torah as we exchange the regular scroll covers and ark curtains for the special white holiday ones.
Sunday, September 17, 3:00 pm – Healing Service. This service is specially tailored so that those of us who are experiencing illness, or caring for those who are ill, may find renewed comfort and support to begin the New Year.
Wednesday, September 20, 8:00 pm – Erev Rosh HaShanah Service. Bob Dietch will be our keyboard accompanist.
Thursday, September 21, 10:00 am – Rosh HaShanah Morning Service, followed by Tashlich at Seneca Park. Bob Dietch will be our keyboard accompanist. Childcare is available with advance request.
Friday, September 22, 10:00 am – Rosh HaShanah Second Day Service.
Friday, September 22, 7:00 pm – Musical / Contemplative Shabbat Service. We will have a special Shabbat gathering modeled on the Hassidic practice of the rabbi’s tisch (“table”) which combines contemplative songs (niggunim) with study and food.
Friday, September 29, 8:00 pm – Erev Yom Kippur Service. Bob Dietch will be our keyboard accompanist.
Saturday, September 30: 10:00 am – Yom Kippur Morning Service. Bob Dietch will be our keyboard accompanist. Childcare is available with advance request. 2:00 pm – Stories and Studies with Rabbi Setel. 4:00 pm – Yom Kippur Afternoon Service. 5:00 pm – Yizkor service. 5:30 pm – Closing Service. Break-the-Fast meal follows the Closing Service – Everyone is invited to attend!
