Friday Morning Challah Baking
Join Rabbi Setel and others in baking delicious challah breads at our Temple on Friday mornings. The dough will be prepared at 9:00 am, and then it will be braided at 11:00 am. Feel free to come at either time! This month, we will meet every Friday morning. June 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30

Shabbat Morning Chevra Torah: 
Chevra Torah meets on Saturday mornings from 9:15 – 10:45 am for an in-depth discussion of the weekly Torah portion, combining traditional commentaries with contemporary perspectives and the wisdom of our own experience. We’d love to have you join us. This month, we will meet June 10, 17, and 24 - 9:15 AM

(RE)INTRODUCTION TO JUDAISM:  
Sundays, 10:00 – 11:00 AM. This month, the course will meet on June 11, 18 and 25
This year-long course, taught by Rabbi Drorah Setel, is an exploration of Judaism as an adult tradition and practice. It is intended both for those new to Judaism and those who would like a more contemporary and nuanced understanding of Jewish experience. Each class will combine historical, spiritual, and visual sources for study. Participants may take Unit 1, Unit 2 or both as desired.
Introduction to Hebrew, taught by Leslie Schwartz on Sundays from 9:00 – 9:50 am, has been designed as a companion course. More ...  

Annual Congregational Meeting:   
Monday, June 12, 7:30 PM
In accordance with our Temple Emanu-El By-laws, we will hold our Annual Congregational Meeting on Monday evening, June 12, at 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served.

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
   1. Opening prayer.
   2. Adoption of the 2017-2018 budget. Copies will be available at the meeting.
   3. Election of Board officers and trustees.
   4. Annual reports from Rabbi Drorah Setel, Carl Wetzstein (as President), standing committees, and special committees.

Please attend so that you can count towards the quorum necessary to do this important work!

Mens Club:  
Our next Men’s Club coffee will be on June 21 at  9 am at Panera Bread 12 Corners, Brighton. All Temple Emanu-El men are welcome.

Books and Bagels in the Park:   
Sunday, June 25, 10 AM
We’re hoping for a sunny day for our annual Books ‘n Bagels in Seneca Park. Drive past the zoo and around the pond, and find us near the road. If it rains, find us back at Temple. BYO lunch, drink, and a seat. No need to call unless you have a question. Elaina 381-3864
