Chorale News

It gives us joy to re-introduce our Temple voices to you, fellow congregants! We are the Temple Emanu-El Herzbrun Chorale. We hope you like our new name. Join us as we learn about music, and prepare old and new songs to sing for the congregation.chor06

Our temple has a long history of involving congregants and members of the TEE community in a volunteer chorale. Rabbi Herzbrun re-formed the chorale, after many years’ hiatus, in 2011. Our friendly group welcomes all who wish to participate; you don't need to be able to read music or Hebrew. The time commitment is, as a loose example, to attend a two-hour rehearsal every two weeks -- for three months leading up to a performance. We typically perform twice a year.

Michael was a scholar of musical styles, a talented music-group leader, and an accomplished pianist. He would have no credit brought to him for leading the Chorale. It was participants’ effort, in making meaningful music, that brought him happiness. We honor Mike, and the love he showed TEE in so many ways, through the Temple Emanu-El Herzbrun Chorale. Please come to a rehearsal to sing and laugh with us! Contact Regina Gonek at (585)733-3531 or
